DAY 1 ARRIVAL

Welcome to Copenhagen, a city known to be one of the most environmentally responsible in the world! 

 

Copenhagen is worthy of being explored by bike or on foot where you can easily visit parks and green spaces, have coffee at cozy cafes in narrow streets or just relax at any of the harbor baths.

DAY 2 OFF THE BEATEN TRACK IN THE DANISH CAPITAL

Being on the water gives you  a feeling of freedom. You will especially experience it with this activity, where you are the captain of your own boat that sails on the solar, wind and water power, so that you can enjoy Copenhagen canal excursion with a clear conscience. 

After that, we recommend you the visit of Refshaleoen district, the former industrial area, that has become one of Copenhagen's hippest areas, with alternative urban development, festivals and great food of all kinds. Easily accessible by bike, bus or even by  a water bus. 

For curiosity, check out Copenhill, the man-made ski slope and recreational hiking area opened in fall 2019, built above the new waste management center.

DAY 3 ODENSE

Embark on your first train journey between Copenhagen and Odense (1h30).

This city is popular for its rich history and for the omnipresence of traces of Hans Christian Andersen. You can explore the pleasant streets of Odense, enjoy its cafes and disconnect from the hectic pace of the big cities. 

 

Odense's street market Storms Pakhus is a popular place to try local delicacies and get to know the locals.

DAY 4  AARHUS

Train journey to Aarhus (1h30). When we say this, we mean it as a compliment - Aarhus is tiny! It's  a historic city, a welcoming neighborhood, where all the greatest sites and attractions are really within walking distance of each other. 

We advise you to visit the ARoS Art Museum, which has become one of the iconic places in the city, with its incredible walkway on the roof. For old world charm, head to the open-air museum "the Old Town", a place where you can literally travel through time, soaking up the Danish atmosphere, history and lifestyle. 

Why not also participate in a good deed while discovering the city by kayak. We can (subject to availability) reserve a 2hr slot for you where you will have the opportunity to pick up waste in the city's waters aboard your kayak! The activity is free for everyone, the aim is to make people aware of respect for our planet.

DAY 5 AALBORG

Your journey continues to next city called Aalborg (1h15).  

A former city where Viking ships sailed the Limfjord, Aalborg has become a cultural place with a spectacular waterfront and iconic architectural buildings. 

Colorful city, with its alleys and its murals, it is also shelters beautiful examples of Danish architecture such as the architectural center Utzon or the house of music. 

Eat like locals at the famous street food market called "The Lighthouse" located at the town's west harbor. 

You can visit Northern tip of Jutland by train which runs every hour between Aalborg and Skagen. Reaching the place called Grenen, you will find yourself right in the middle of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

DAY 6 FERRY TO GOTHNEBURG

On the late morning, you will take the train to Frederikshavn and have lunch  before taking the boat to Sweden. Ferry to Gothenburg (3h30). 

It was voted as the most ecological city to visit this year! Gothenburg is a pocket-sized metropolis where you will find everything within walking distance.  We encourage you to get around the city by public transport which runs almost entirely on renewable energy. 

Gothenburg has amazing parks  and green areas where not only the locals enjoy long walks during the summer evenings.

DAY 7 GOTHNEBURG ARCHIPELAGO

The ideal way to enjoy and discover Gothenburg is from the water. The pedestrian islands of the southern archipelago are easily accessible by local Styrsobolaget boats from the Stenpiren Travel Center. 

The entire journey Stenpiren - Styrso - Donso - Vrango  takes approximately 1h30min. But to enjoy the charm of each island and its specialties, we advise you to stop there. 

Gothenburg is one the Europe's most fashionable hubs for craft beer and several of the city's best breweries  are among the best in the world.

DAY 8 MALMO

Malmo is quite easy to explore on foot, but it really is a city built for cyclists with its 500km of cycle paths. You can rent a bike or we can organize a guided tour on two wheels. 

Immerse yourself in Malmo's green innovation with a visit to the Augustenborg Botanical Garden. Explore the 9,500 square meter rooftop green space with 20 plots designed for inspiration, research and education. The rooftop includes an urban farm, a test site for future green roofing products and a biodiversity refuge for rare planet species. 

Another green space to explore is Slottstragarden, one of the city's many parks located behind Malmohus Castle and featuring  a garden growing and selling seasonal organic produce.
